This six-hour session is focused on helping teachers understand the specific needs of the gifted and talented student. Offered in a job-embedded format, teachers will receive information on definitions of gifted/talented; common characteristics of gifted learners; Texas requirements for serving these students; common programming models for meeting the needs of the gifted; and practical strategies for bringing out the best in these students.
